Survey: Over Half of Americans Don’t Know Their Stimulus Checks Won’t Be Taxed
Tax season officially kicks off this week, but a new survey finds that many taxpayers don’t understand how the stimulus packages will affect their taxes.
A February survey conducted by YouGov for Forbes Advisor asked Americans whether or not they believed their stimulus payments are taxable. More than half of the respondents believed they would be taxed or didn’t know if they would have to pay taxes on their stimulus payments.
